Copper clad aluminum wire (CCAW)
It’s a new designed electromagnetic wire that copper coated aluminum material is used to make its internal conductor. It is a bimetallic wire with a copper cladding concentrically covering an aluminum core. Its properties are similar as copper and aluminum because it has the good electrical conductivity as copper and light weight as aluminum. The processing method of copper clad aluminum (CCAW) wire is similar to that of copper wire during cable manufacture.
1. Direct-current electronic resistively: The electronic resistance of Copper Clad Aluminum Wire is approximately 1.5 times of pure copper wire. When the resistances are the same, the weight of CCAW is about half of the pure copper wire.
2. Good braze abilities: Because its surface is coated with a layer of pure copper, CCAW has the same braze ability as the pure
